Drive seeking health insurance for kids
13 02 08 - 12:13
There's more than one way to say "I love you" this Valentine's Day. A coalition of Arizona hospitals and health care, faith-based and community organizations want to show their love for children by helping them sign up for health insurance.
Thursday's "Love Your Kids" community outreach event is the first statewide effort to get children enrolled in KidsCare, a state and federal health care program for children of working families.
More than 63,000 Arizona children are insured under KidsCare, but an estimated 130,000 eligible children are not enrolled.
Families are encouraged to sign up for KidsCare at more than 80 sites statewide. For information, go to www.loveyourkidsaz.org or call (602) 263-8856.
