Fee-for-Service (FFS) Plan is a health insurance coverage in which doctors and other health care service providers receive a fee for the services they provide including an office visit, test, procedure, or other health care service. The insurer will either pay the medical provider directly or reimburse the insured for covered services after the insured has paid the bill and filed an insurance claim. When the insured needs medical attention, he/she visits the doctor or hospital of his/her choice.
